Fishing - Three Lakes and Miles of Streams

The Pocono Mountains have been renown for years for exceptional bass and trout fishing. During the 1800's, the stream flowing out of Lake Naomi was recognized as an exceptional trout haven. This was one of the significant factors that led to the creation of Lake Naomi as we know it today. In addition to Lake Naomi and the streams that feed it, the area is surrounded by 25,527 acres of state forest. This preserve is bisected by Tobyhanna Creek which is one of the major trout streams in the state.
The members of the fishing club at Lake Naomi take a serious interest in fish propagation. Interfacing with the state Fish and Game Commission, stocking sport species, and building fish havens. This is only part of their avid interest and involvement...
  • Programs are offered in fly fishing, artificial lures, and fishing techniques
  • An Annual Bass Tournament is sponsored by the fishing association
  • Since powerboats are prohibited, the lakes are the cleanest and clearest in the northeast
  • A well attended Youth Fishing Derby is enjoyed each year by the kids
